Quick decision context for procurement relevance and maturity.
The assignment concerns the delivery of seven (7) unmanned breakthrough systems (OBDS) consisting of a tracked unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), serving as a host platform, and an associated toolset for breaching minefields, and a control module for remotely operating the complete system via a remote control. The host platform can be equipped with various toolsets to perform diverse operational tasks, with the current assignment focusing on breaching explosive obstacles in the form of minefields in combination with wire obstacles. Due to this assignment, strict requirements are placed on the host platform regarding driving characteristics and off-road capability (e.g., pivot turn and trench-gap crossing), so that the system performs optimally in the intended operational environment. The assignment also includes the delivery of equipment sets, an ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) package, maintenance and spare parts, documentation, an industrial tent, education, and training. Additionally, an option for additional OBDS, including associated equipment sets, etc., will be included. The background for this acquisition is the Ministry of Defence's desire to increase the available minefield and obstacle breaching capacity
