Procurement of Electro-Magnetic Counter small Uncrewed Air System Defeat and/or Detect systems (and associated systems)

The UK Ministry of Defence is procuring Electro-Magnetic Counter small Uncrewed Air System Defeat and/or Detect systems valued at 1,000,000 GBP to rapidly equip Royal Navy ships with capabilities to detect, track, identify, and defeat drone threats, under the urgent Project TALON initiative requiring delivery within weeks. This maritime-focused system must protect areas up to 2,500 km² and engage at least 25 targets, amid heightened threats from events like the Iran conflict. It aligns with broader UK efforts in counter-drone technology, including partnerships with the US for standardized systems and developments like BAE Systems' BATS.
