Flexible Tactical Uncrewed Air System (FTUAS) - Navy UCR

The UK Ministry of Defence awarded a £16.6 million contract to Thales UK Ltd for the Flexible Tactical Uncrewed Air System (FTUAS), also known as 'Peregrine,' to provide rotary-wing uncrewed air systems integrated onto Royal Navy warships. The system is designed to deliver maritime surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities to counter crewed and uncrewed surface vessels, with the CAMCOPTER S-100 UAS equipped with advanced sensors that feed high-definition imagery and radar data directly into the ship's Combat Management System. This represents a key capability enhancement for Royal Navy forward presence operations, enabling round-the-clock aerial surveillance alongside existing crewed helicopter assets.
