Call for Competition, UAS Traffic Management (UTM) solution for Sweden

Luftfartsverket (LFV), Sweden's air navigation service provider, issued a call for competition to establish a framework agreement for a national UAS Traffic Management (UTM) solution valued at 350,000,000 SEK, aiming to provide reliable, robust, and efficient U-Space services, common information services, and related interfaces for government authorities, customers, and stakeholders. The procurement, initially released in October 2022 and re-issued with a deadline of January 30, 2023, seeks a single dynamic partner for an initial four-year term, potentially extendable by up to four years. In September 2025, LFV selected Frequentis to deliver the nationwide UTM system, including software, implementation, and long-term support, to manage low-altitude drone operations in compliance with European U-space regulations.
