Qatar FS-LIDS Counter-UAS (FMS)

Qatar is buying ten Fixed Site Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Integrated Defeat Systems (FS-LIDS) from the United States as a Foreign Military Sale managed by the US Army. The sale was notified to Congress on 29 November 2022 at an estimated 1 billion US dollars and includes 200 Coyote Block 2 interceptors, Coyote launchers, Ku-band radars, counter-UAS electronic warfare systems, FAAD C2 command and control and EO/IR cameras. Qatar and the United States signed an agreement to go ahead with the purchase in May 2025, and in October 2026 Raytheon announced a contract to deliver LIDS components to the US Army, Qatar and Jordan.
