Procurement of Target RPAS

The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), part of the UK Ministry of Defence, procured a Remote Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) manufactured by Boresight Pty Ltd from vendor Level Peaks Associates Limited, valued at GBP 203,172.07, including programming software, batteries, chargers, and training. The RPAS serves as a target to support testing of the UK's Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capability, specifically due to its unique programmability to detect, react to, and evade C-UAS frequency jamming, meeting Civil Aviation Authority and Military Airworthiness Authority standards for scheduled Autumn testing. This procurement aligns with DSTL's efforts to evaluate advanced defence technologies, including against radio frequency directed energy weapons (RF DEW).
